Naufragos was made as a final degree project at the University of Granada’s Fine Arts faculty, inspired by José Luis Guerín’s documentary “En Construcción.” It follows the life of something as banal as a painting hung in the street, an object whose meaning is contradictory in itself: a beautiful, delicate thing, made out of graffiti, a medium that is by nature aggressive and anti-establishment. A documentary of Granada’s walls at that time, built around that oxymoron.
