Luz Fósil follows a walk through Granada trying to fossilise noon, street by street, the brief five-minute window each day when a street is lit completely from above, with no lateral shadows. Filmed over several weeks, the piece moves from street to street exactly at the moment the sun sits directly overhead each one, capturing a city that, for a few minutes at a time, casts no shadow at all. Presented in 2019 as part of FACBA, the University of Granada’s contemporary art festival.
